About Ballroom DanceSport
Ballroom DanceSport is a sport in which couples dance a given set of dances in an event against other couples to showcase their dance ability. The sport is competed in rounds, each round consisting of one or more heats of about 10 - 20 couples. 5 or more judges look at each of the couples on the floor and mark who they want to make it to the next round of the competition. The competition is cut in approximately half each round.
